The night bazaar at Shilparamam — Shilpa Sandhya Vedika — one of its
kind tourism project in the State, is likely to be thrown open to public by this
year’s end. Coming up at a cost of Rs. 10.50 crores on a three-acre site,
the night bazaar will have four themes- Azma (Stone Age), Vedic Age, Sultanate,
and Adhunic (modern) — and is envisaged to provide a staggering 60,000 sq
ft of shopping space with 250 shops and 1.6 lakh sq ft of landscaped garden area.
The night bazaar would go a long way in catering to the needs of tourists on a brief
visit to the twin cities and for visitors in transit who have a night halt. The
setup will be an ideal choice of shopping to the 1.5-lakh strong IT workforce working
during nights at Hi-Tech city and nearby areas.
There are several night bazaars in the country but this one is unique because of
its five different themes. It will run from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., every day.
