Special Melas are conducted coinciding with any special ceremony at this arts village. The special melas have known to attract artisans from all over the state and the country. What makes the specials melas even more attractive is the Music and Dance Festival being conducted by the state government.

Shilpa Awards for folk and classical music and dance

Andhra Pradesh has always been known for its rich culture. This wonderful state has presented a wide range of performing arts, including dance, drama and music, to the world. Dance and singing are the natural gift for the rural populace of Andhra Pradesh. As the state is multi cultural and diverse, every region of the state has its own special forms of dance and singing. Many a these unique dance & singing forms performed by exclusive rural talents exceptionally. To provide those talents a platform and to encourage this art forms, The Shilparamam Arts, Crafts and Cultural Society introduced ‘Shilpa awards’. These awards generally held during the months of July & August
